Call for papers
Dear authors,
The preparation of the seventh issue of the journal Vjesnik dalmatinskih arhiva – Sources and Contributions to the History of Dalmatia, scheduled for publication at the end of 2026, is currently underway.
The journal provides open access to published papers through the Portal of Croatian Scientific Journals (Hrčak) and is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Scopus, and the European Reference Index for the Humanities (ERIH PLUS). As of April 2025, the journal has also been included in SJR: Scientific Journal Rankings.
In addition, preparations are underway for the journal’s application for scientific categorization. Your cooperation is therefore of great importance to us in ensuring high-quality scholarly and professional contributions and thereby furthering knowledge of Dalmatian historical sources and history.
We invite you to submit your contribution no later than June 30, 2026, to the e-mail address: vda@das.hr.
Given the profile of the journal, contributions from the following thematic areas are welcome:

Archival theory and practice (contributions in the field of archival theory and practice)

Discussions and contributions (historiographical papers based on research of archival material relevant to the history of Dalmatia)

Sources (publication of smaller units of archival material and/or documents, including inventories, transcripts, translations, reproductions of maps and graphics, and regesta)

Reviews, reports from scientific and professional conferences, news, obituaries, etc.
The official language of the journal is Croatian, while contributions in Italian and English are also accepted. All submitted articles will undergo double-blind peer review.
