About the Journal

Aims and scope

Vjesnik dalmatinskih arhiva – izvori i prilozi za povijest Dalmacije (The Journal of Dalmatian Archives - Sources and Contributions to the History of Dalmatia) is a periodical published in 2020 by the State Archives in Dubrovnik, Split, Šibenik and Zadar. It is intended for the publication of articles in the field of archival theory and practice, historiography and auxiliary historical sciences, as well as articles created within the framework of modern information sciences, which relate to the field of historical and present-day Dalmatia. Unpublished, categorized scientific and professional papers are published in the journal, as well as reviews and reviews of publications, conference reports and the like published as uncategorized papers.

Language

The official language of the journal is Croatian, and articles in English and Italian are accepted.

Frequency

The journal is published once a year.

Submissions

Call for papers is open continuously, and contributions are to be submitted continuously during the year through a reporting system on this website of the journal. In case of any problems, the authors can contact the editorial office by e-mail vda@vda.hr.

The journal does not charge authors for the review process, the costs of publishing the paper or other costs related to ensuring the visibility of the published work on the Internet. Articles are not paid, and the author of the categorized paper receives one copy of the journal and a PDF version of the author's article.

Open Access Licence

All content of the journal is in completely free online access on the day of publication via Portal of Scientific Journals of Croatia (Hrčak) and journal web pages, meaning that users may read, download, copy, and share content with attribution and source in accordance with the CC BY-NC 4.0 license. By submitting their contribution, authors confirm that they are familiar with the described conditions of publication and the possibilities of using the published work described in the CC BY-NC 4.0 license and that they accept them.

The journal is published with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia.
